In another exploration update, ASX-listed exploration company Cardinal Resources (ASX:CDV) has announced some very impressive drill results at a zone it’s calling the Namdini extension in Ghana.

Cardinal’s drill rig has intercepted some truly eyebrow-raising drill results such as 51 meters containing 3.58 g/t and 41 meters of 2.7 g/t, but on top of that, one of the more recent holes has returned 99 meters containing 1.21 g/t gold, starting at surface which is quite remarkable considering this hole was drilled 400 meters away from the zones Cardinal has been drilling before.

This could potentially be a game-changer for Cardinal as the mineralization seems to be broader and larger than anticipated by now, and we’re looking forward to see more drill results to confirm these expectations. The recovery rates also seem to be quite good with 92% of the gold being recovered from the oxide zone whilst an 87% recovery rate was achieved at the fresh zones.
