Delta Lithium (DLI.AX) has released its maiden resource estimate on the Yinnethara lithium project, within just twelve months after closing the acquisition of the project. The resource contains 25.7 million tonnes of rock at an average grade of 1% Li2O with approximately 6.7 million tonnes at 1% in the indicated resource category while the remaining 19 million tonnes are in the inferred resource category. The maiden resource is based on the assay results from in excess of 115,000 meters of drilling in almost 500 holes.

The Yinnetharra resource now brings the total consolidated resources of the company to 40.4 million tonnes at an average grade of 1.1% Li2O, of which approximately 14.5 million tonnes are in the indicated resource category after adding the Mt Ida resource to the Yinetharra resource.

Scale will be important so it will be interesting to see if Delta is able to further expand the Yinnetharra resource considering the initial 25.7 million tonnes is based on drilling just one of the prospects.
