DLP Resources (DLP.V) released assay results for the rock chip panel samples that were taken in four additional trenches that were completed at the Esperanza project (located in Southern Peru, approximately 35 kilometers southwest of the Cerro Verde mine in Arequipa). The results from these four additional trenches have returned mineralized intervals ranging between 10 meters and 96 meters with copper values ranging from 0.19% copper to 1.03% copper in oxidized mineralization. The bullet points below highlight the most important intervals that were encountered.

The trenches DLP has reported on (the tables mentioned in the image above can be found in the company’s press release) confirm the presence of near-surface copper oxides, and according to CEO Gendall, the occurrence happens along a structural flank of a mapped porphyry copper-molybdenum system. The company will now go ahead and will work on a Phase 2 sampling program in combination with additional geophysics to prepare the targets for a drill program later this year.
