Eagle Plains Resources (EPL.V) has announced partner Earthwise Minerals (WISE.C) has mobilized field crews to the Iron Range project to kick off the summer exploration program. The 2025 fieldwork will consist of two phases with the first phase of the fieldwork targeting the Pyromorphite Zone where mineralization was discovered in 2009. Historical rock samples have returned high-grade gold, silver and lead results. This year, the technical crews will try to locate the original sample locations again and complete a mapping program to better understand the structural controls of the mineralization.
Earthwise will be funding the 2025 exploration program as part of its commitment to spend C$4M on exploration in the first four years of the option agreement which will allow it to earn an initial 70% stake in the project (after also making a C$250,000 cash payment and issue 1.5M of its common shares to Eagle Plains). Earthwise committed to spending at least C$0.2M during the 2025 exploration season.
