Firefox Gold (FFOX.V) has announced last week it has started the 2020 fall-winter drill program on its Mustajarvi gold project, located in the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt in Finland. The initial focus will be on Mustajarvi where Firefox is planning to complete 1,400 meters of drilling on new targets while an additional 400 meters will be drilled on the Jeesio gold project. Both drill programs were designed using the input of the technical team of GoldSpot Discoveries (SPOT.V).

At Mustajarvi, the drill rig will focus on testing the structural, geochemical and geophysical targets that haven’t been drilled in the past with three specific target areas. Firefox did (once again) a good job in explaining why it’s drilling these three targets and rather than rehashing the press release, Firefox’s summary can be found here below:

At Jeesio, the drill program will be much smaller as Firefox is anticipating to drill just 400 meters in 3-4 holes at Utsamo where the field geologists collected gold-bearing quartz vein samples in a 2019 and 2020 sampling program. An additional base of till sampling program will also be conducted at Utsamo later this winter.
