Cartier Resources (ECR.V) has started the largest drill program ever on its flagship Cadillac gold project in Quebec’s Val D’Or district. This program will take approximately 18 months to completion and will consist of in excess of 500 holes, of which 2/3rd are expansion holes. 1/3rd of the meterage will be focusing on grassroots exploration in an attempt to find new zones to pursue additional growth.
Some of those grassroots-focused holes will be drilled along the 15 kilometer long Cadillac Fault Zone, which has now been consolidated by Cartier. As a reminder, the current PEA (with just over 1.1 million recoverable ounces of gold) was focusing on just two kilometers of the 15 kilometer long trend. Any extension of the planned mine life should have a positive impact on the economics.
