Awale Resources (ARIC.V) has released assay results from a few step-back holes drilled at the Charger discovery, part of the Odienné project in Cote D’Ivoire and subject to the agreement with Newmont. As the bullet points below show, the company successfully intersected more high-grade mineralization. Hole OEDD-149 is an interesting one as it confirms the continuity of the high grade zone encountered in hole 148, which intercepted 52 meters of 16.4 g/t gold including an even higher grade interval of 11 meters containing 70.3 g/t gold.

According to CEO Chubb, the step-back holes show the continuity of exceptional grades while the mineralization remains open down-plunge and to the southwest. That southwestern zone will very likely be drilled soon, as part of the 100,000 meter drill program the company has announced. Four drill rigs will be mobilized this month which should ensure a continuous news flow.
