Arras Minerals (ARK.V) released assay results from its Berezski drill program earlier this month. The headline result was a very strong 246 meters with an average grade of 1.02% copper-equivalent, of which 0.24% was copper and the remainder of the equivalent grade was contributed by the 0.75 g/t gold component. The key element of this interval in hole EL25023 is the fact the mineralization started at less than one meter down hole, so the mineralization basically starts at surface.

The bullet points above highlight the results from the other two holes, which clearly are not as impressive as the results of hole 023, but hole 021 confirms the continuity of the copper-gold mineralization to the south of the Berezski Central Target. Unfortunately that hole was designed to go deeper but mechanical issues prevented the drill rig from reaching the target zone.
Hole 022 discovered a new zone of near surface gold mineralization about 300 meters east of Berezski East, and that interval suggests there may be more gold mineralization to be found in that area. Arras Minerals will use the data from hole 022 to design a systematic drill program to fully understand what controls the copper-gold mineralization in that area.
We were recently in Kazachstan and will catch up with Arras president Darren Klinck in Vancouver in the next few days. Arras plans to have four drill rigs working on the greater Elemes project this year, so it will be a busy year for the company.
