As we reported before, Medallion Resources (MDL.V) has sent concentrate samples and spec sheets to several REE refineries or separation plants. Now, just six weeks after shipping the samples and sending over the specification sheets, ALL of those refineries/separators have indicated to Medallion Resources the concentrate product meets their requirements and could be used as base product for standard separation processes.

Medallion Monazite sources

This definitely validates Medallion’s expectations and as we reported in our report on Medallion, the technical aspect of processing monazite and recovering the REE’s isn’t too difficult and it could be one of the easiest ways to produce Rare Earth Elements. The company continues to work on fine-tuning its flow sheet before moving on to the pilot plant phase (which we expect in the first half of 2016).

We’d also like to point out an interesting article on Medallion written by Ben Kramer-Miller, which provides an excellent overview of the company. You can read the entire article here.
