Sterling Metals (SAG.V) announced the remaining assay results from its 2025 drill program on its Soo copper project last month. The assay results from five additional holes expanded the copper mineralized footprint while it also provided the technical team with more data on the high-grade bornite zone which was discovered last year.

The best of the five holes was a 235.5 meter interval containing 0.42% copper and 0.042 g/t gold including just under 33 metes of 1.31% copper and 0.11 g/t gold. These two intervals carry a copper-equivalent grade of 0.5% and 1.5% respectively.

The results from the 2025 drill program seem to indicate that many of the holes hit the edge of a newly identified copper-bearing quartz sulphide veining system, and this logically will become a high-priority exploration target in 2026. The broad zones of copper mineralization (all holes in the 2025 drill program contained copper mineralization) and higher grade intervals indicate a strengthening copper system. Additionally, the newly identified copper-molybdenum porphyry stock within kilometers of the MEPS discovery area will likely see some additional attention as well.
