Tiger Resources (ASX:TGS) which continues to develop the Kipoi copper project in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has announced an update on the most recent developments. Heap leach commissioning was completed at the end of December, and a copper rich pregnant solution has been generated which will be sent to the solvent extraction facility when this will have been completed.

First copper cathode production is expected in Q2 of this year, and Tiger expects to produce approximately 55 million pounds of copper in the first 12 months of production at the SXEW plant, increasing to 110 million pounds in the subsequent 12 months.
