
District Metals (DMX.V) has confirmed it has completed in excess of 1,700 meters of drilling in three holes at the Steffenburgs Zone, which is part of the historical Tomtebo mine are a in Sweden’s Bergslagen district. Assays are still pending, but the company provided a brief summary on the three holes, shown below.

In his comment, CEO Garrett Ainsworth mentioned that ‘deeper drilling at the Steffenburgs zone has revealed polymetallic sulphide mineralization continued at depth’. It will still take a while to see the actual assay results from these holes, and District Metals is guiding for ‘late Q2’ to see the actual assay results.
Drilling at Steffenburgs has now been completed, and the drill rig has moved to the Kvistaberget target area where it will be deployed for the first-ever drill program. The Kvistaberget area is located approximately 5 kilometers northeast of the historical Tomtebo mine and this area has been prioritized by the technical team due to the combination of interesting geological, geophysical and geochemical indicators.
