Defense Metals (DEFN.V) has released the assay results of an initial eleven drill holes for a total of 1,633 meters on its fully-owned Whicheeda REE project located near Prince George in British Columbia.
All holes (10 resource holes and 1 pit slope geotechnical hole) intersected REE mineralization which shouldn’t be a major surprise considering these are all infill holes within the existing pit outline. As the table below shows, some of the holes intersected high-grade mineralization over decent widths with 20 meters containing 6.15% TREO within a 65 meter long interval that carried an average grade of 2.86% TREO.
The infill drill program aims to upgrade a significant percentage of the current inferred resource into the measured and indicated resource categories, ahead of an updated study on the asset.
