Mawson Finland (MFL.V) continues to rapidly advance its flagship Rajapalot gold-cobalt project in Finland’s Lapland region. The company has now initiated the second phase of the Environmental Impact Assessment procedure. In this phase, the company and its consultants will document and address any significant environmental impacts from mine development and continued operations. While the EIA isn’t a permit per se, it provides the relevant data the actual permitting process will be referring to.
Meanwhile we are still waiting for the company to publish the assay results from its Winter 2025 drill campaign. Mawson Finland drilled almost 11,400 meters in 33 holes and it will be interesting to see if the drill bit expanded the mineralized zones beyond the current resource estimate.
