Earlier this week we published a report on Blue Jay Gold (JAY.V), explaining why the risk/reward ratio looks quite interesting for this advanced stage gold exploration company in the Yukon Territory. We also highlighted the Becker-Cochran antimony prospect as one of the company’s priority projects.
Blue Jay recently announced it has kicked off more advanced metallurgical studies on this area of interest, and a 400 kilogram sample has been shipped to ALS in Kamloops to work on an improved flow sheet. This will build onto the existing processing work that was completed in the Sixties and already resulted in a stibnite concentrate with a grade of 62% antimony. That already is on the higher end of the spectrum to be accepted by smelters, so it will be interesting to see any updated results. The Becker-Cochran prospect could be a nice bonus element to the flagship Steller gold-silver project.
