Alpha Exploration (ALEX.V) has recently provided a summary of the recently completed exploration activities and the plans for the future. As discussed in previous blog updates, the company’s drill program on the Aburna prospect was very successful as the drill bit encountered several intervals with high grade gold results over pretty impressive widths. 16 meters containing 14 g/t gold and 20 meters containing 7.7 g/t gold confirm the high-grade nature of the Aburna prospect, where high grade gold has been extracted by colonial miners.

The field program has now identified a very large area measuring 2,000 meters by 6,000 meters with anomalous gold values extending to the northeast from the Aburna gold mine and after completing the drill program in 2022, Alpha’s field teams completed additional surface sampling work. Just over 200 soil samples and in excess of 3,000 rock chip samples were gathered and the assay results from this sampling program should be available next month.

Alpha Exploration is very satisfied with the way Aburna is shaping up, and the company is designing a shallow drill program which should consist of about 15,000 meters of drilling in 120 holes (which indicates the average depth of the holes will be just around 125 meters). Alpha hopes to kick off this drill program in February as well, which means the first quarter of this year will be pretty busy.
