Balmoral Resources (BAR.TO) has once again announced a very interesting assays from a hole drilled at its Grasset property in Québec. The drill rig has intersected a very high-grade zone with 1.5 meters of almost 15% (!) nickel, 0.74% copper and almost 9g/t Pt+Pd. This was a high grade zone within a longer interval of almost 58 meters of 1.85% nickel, 0.21% copper and almost 1.4g/t Platinum+Palladium (which is roughly 2.18% NiEq at the current commodity prices.

This batch of drill results confirms the depth of the Horizon 3 sulphide zone and the high grade nickel sulphide mineralization seems to be continuing towards the northwest of the previously found fault. Balmoral will release a few more holes before the end of this year, and we’re looking forward to see the company’s exploration plans for 2015 and drilling at Horizon 3 is expected to start again later this month.
