Consolidated Zinc (ASX:CZL) has announced a first drill program at the Plomosas zinc project where it plants to target three different areas in an attempt to find high-grade zinc mineralization. Plomosas is a past-producing underground mine where approximately 2 million tonnes of ore were mined at an average grade of in excess of 20% zinc and lead and 2.5 ounces of silver per tonne of rock.

It will be very interesting to see what kind of grade Consolidated Zinc will be able to find, and more importantly, what kind of tonnage it will be able to define.
