Lithium Ionic (LTH.V) has released additional assay results from its Salinas lithium project. That’s the second horse in its stable as the flagship project is the feasibility stage Bandeira lithium project, which is located just about 100 kilometers south. Lithium Ionic is currently continuing its exploration activities on all its assets in an attempt to increase tonnage and the lithium content of its Brazilian assets.

As you can see above, the drill program has successfully expanded and extended known pegmatites while it also discovered a new pegmatite approximately 1.5 kilometers north of the drilled zones, and that new zone, where the company intersected 5.6 meters of 1.63% Li2O and 4 meters of 1.54% Li2O is now interpreted to be a northeastern extension of the Lavra do Zoe pegmatite which has been mined in the past.

Lithium Ionic currently has four drill rigs working on the Salinas project, so we will likely continue to see assay results and drill updates throughout the year as the company plans to complete 50,000 meters across all its projects this year.
