Lupaka Gold (LPK.TO) has announced the appointment of three new directors.

Hernan Barreto has been Executive Chairman of Consorcio Peruano de Minerales, a privately‐held mining and trading company, located in Lima, providing consulting services to the mining industry.

Jaime Pinto has been practicing law since 1982, and was a board member of Mantaros Peru, a fully-owned subsidiary of Stonegate Agricom (ST.TO), which has a phosphate project with in excess of 400 million tonnes at 10%P2O5.

Luquman Shaheen has been President, CEO and director of Panoro Minerals (PML.V) since April 2008. Panoro is currently exploring a copper-gold-silver project in Southern Peru.

All three new board members have a strong focus on Peru, and we think this is an excellent move by Lupaka Gold to strengthen its presence in Peru. As the company is also listed on the Lima Stock Exchange, we expect Lupaka to have more domestic shareholders by year’s end.

We have visited Lupaka’s operations in Peru last week, and will release a site visit report in the near future.
