Millennial Lithium (ML.V) has released an update on its attempt to define a lithium resource at the Pastos Grandes salar in Argentina’s Salta province. The first hole has reached a depth of 192 meters and instead of pushing through to the intended 350 meters, Millennial has terminated the hole as it will now immediately complete the hole with a diameter large enough to allow Millennial Lithium to immediately start with the completion of a pumping test well.

That’s really encouraging, as the drill bit had intersected no less than three brine aquifers over a total length of almost 95 meters. According to Vice President Development & Exploration Iain Scarr, the first hole has intersected ‘what appears to be either a brine-saturated unconsolidated sand or a major structure with free-flowing brine’ and it’s needless to say this actually is very exciting news!

No assay results have been released, but the immediate change of plans to quickly move ahead with a production scale pumping test well is extremely encouraging.
