Renaissance Minerals (ASX:RNS) announced it has restarted drilling at its Okvau gold project in Cambodia. This new round of drilling will target possible extensions outside of the current 1.2 million ounce gold resource envelope. Renaissance plans to drill some shallow holes to follow up on some earlier completed Reverse Circulation drill holes which returned excellent results such as 8 meters at 7.3g/t and 9 meters at 9.3g/t within the first 50 meters from surface.

The company has also shipped a batch of representative diamond drill core to Perth to conduct metallurgical test work. The results of these tests will very likely be published later this quarter.
