In an update that was published earlier this week, Sirios Resources (SOI.V) has released the assay results from an additional 15 holes (for a total of 6,850 meters drilled) that were completed on its flagship Cheechoo gold project in Québec’s James Bay region. As the highlights below show, the Cheechoo project once again yielded an interesting combination of high-grade mineralization and thicker but lower grade gold-bearing intervals. The bullet points below are just the highlights of the drill program.

Even more intriguing is the fact that visible gold has now been encountered in 68 intervals across 18 holes. And as the image below shows, that paves the way for additional resource expansion – which of course is the main purpose of the drill program.
Phase 1 of the Cheechoo drill program has now been completed, with 23,037.5 meters of drilling across 45 holes. The technical team is now preparing for the Phase 2 drill program which should start in January 2027. Phase 2 is expected to consist of approximately 12,000 meters of drilling, which should result in a combined total of 35,000 meters.
The Cheechoo project already contains 1.26 million ounces of gold in the indicated resources and an additional 1.23 g/t gold in the inferred resource category at a grade of 1.12 g/t and 1.23 g/t respectively. A resource update is expected before 2026 is over, and the strong drill results should almost certainly add value as the company moves towards proving up its exploration target of an additional 31-40 million tonnes at 1.27-1.45 g/t gold.
