Canterra Minerals (CTM.V) has confirmed last week drilling has started on its Wilding Gold project in Newfoundland. This drill program will follow up on the improved geological understanding of the project based on its own historical exploration data as well as the information gained from the Valentine gold mine, directly adjacent to the company’s land package.

The drill program will be pretty shallow with a total of 1,200 meters being drilled in 15 holes, focusing on drill-testing the stacked extensional quartz-gold tourmaline pyrite vein packages along the known shear zones. The high priority drill targets were defined by the summer 2025 field program in combination with a re-interpretation of the IP geophysics.

Drilling should be fast and lab turnaround times should be fairly short, so we anticipate to see drill results within the net month or so.
