Aztec Minerals (AZT.V) continues to rapidly advance its flagship Tombstone Gold-Silver project in Arizona. The company has announced it has engaged Kappes, Cassiday & Associates to conduct initial bottle roll leach tests on samples from the Tombstone project. This additional metallurgical test work is a continuation of the shake tests that were completed earlier this year. The additional metallurgical test work of course is an important step to continue to derisk the Tombstone project ahead of its maiden resource calculation.
Meanwhile, the drill program has been completed as the company completed almost 18,000 meters of drilling across 87 holes (of which more than half were completed this year). Assay results for 26 holes (23 RC holes and 3 core holes) still have to be published, where after the company can start working on its initial resource.
