Kenorland Minerals (KLD.V) has announced the Frotet management committee (consisting of representatives of Kenorland and Sumitomo Metals and Mining) has approved a C$6.6M summer exploration budget for the Frotet gold project in Quebec. The vast majority of the budget will be used for drilling and the current 9,000 meter drill program is in full swing. In excess of 60% of the program has already been completed in 22 holes, and Kenorland is expecting to be able to release the first few assay results around mid-may.

As a reminder, the 32 hole 9,000 meter drill program was initially focusing on the Regnault discovery area where the joint venture partners encountered high-grade gold mineralization in the 2020 drill program. The exploration efforts are now zooming in on extending the strike length of the discovery in an attempt to build a meaningful tonnage while another portion of the drill program will drill-test some of the regional exploration targets which were defined using a 3D IP survey.
