Orecorp (ORE.AX) has kicked off a 15 hole drill program on the Kilimani zone, part of the Nyanzaga gold project in Tanzania. The Kilimani Zone is located approximately 450 meters northeast of the Nyanzaga deposit which currently contains 3.1 million ounces of gold in about 23.7 million tonnes at an average grade of 4.03 g/t across all resource categories. The Kilimani deposit contains 213,000 ounces of gold at a lower average grade of 1.06 g/t gold.

The 15 hole program (RC drilling for a total of just over 3,000 meters) will test the location of deep feeder zones at Kilimani but the exploration program has also budgeted for four diamond drill holes drilled west of Nyanzaga hill to further increase the confidence in the underground mine design. Three of the holes will have an average depth of just 200 meters but Orecorp is also planning on drilling a fourth, deep hole going down all the way to 600 meters to reach untested sequences 300-400 meters west of the Nyanzaga mineralization.

And to top it off, Orecorp is planning just over 13,000 meters of aircore drilling in 265 holes to the west and northwest of the Special Mining License area as it hopes to make additional gold discoveries in the area.
