IDEX Metals (IDEX.V) has confirmed it has started its multi-phase exploration program on its Freeze project in Idaho. This year’s program will include geological mapping, sampling and an initial diamond drill program. As previously disclosed, IDEX is gearing up to complete up to 2,500 meters of drilling to follow up on historical high-grade intervals on the Kismet target.

Drilling is expected to start later this month and will continue towards the end of this quarter, as the drill bit will be testing the potential porphyry mineralization at depth. The interpretation of the regional structure indicates the porphyry systems in the district are tilted northwest while the mineralized centers are plunging to the southeast. It’s those down-plunge extensions of the tilted mineralization that will be the subject of the 2025 drill program at Kismet. And while the drill rig will be active on the Kismet target, the company will continue its permitting efforts as it is finalizing the USFS approvals to start a drill campaign on the Cuddy Mine portion of the project.
