Eagle Plains Resources (EPL.V) has announced that two of the three 2026 diamond drill holes drilled at George Lake in Saskatchewan have been completed. Both holes successfully intersected the George Lake zinc-lead horizon at depth. The deepest mineralized interval in the 2026 hole is located in excess of 200 meters below the deepest historical intercept. The initial interpretation of the 2026 holes indicates the mineralization remains open down-dip and along strike.
Assay results are pending for both holes, so it will be interesting to see if the intervals carry grade. Historical intervals included 8 meters of 8.4% ZnPb, 6 meters of 6.01% ZnPb and 10.7 meters of 6.19% ZnPb within broader but lower grade intervals. The third and final hole of the three hole program is designed to undercut two historical holes that included 7 meters of 6.23% ZnPb and 40 meters of 2.03% ZnPb.
