Colorado Resources (CXO.V) has announced it has discovered a second zone of interest at the KSP project in British Columbia. The company has completed a summer exploration program with 89 samples and almost 20 kilometers of ground magnetometer surveys having been completed. This resulted in the discovery of a 5 kilometer long prospective trend.

No drilling has taken place just yet, but the surface sampling results are already quite encouraging given the discovery of copper and gold zones on the property. It will be very interesting to see Colorado doing some follow-up work on the property because if a second discovery could be confirmed, Colorado Resources might be sitting on a district-scale opportunity.

Additionally, the company has released the results of a sample program at the Heart Peaks gold-silver project where Centerra Gold (CG.TO) is the company’s joint venture partner. A substantial preliminary exploration program has been completed with 400 samples and approximately 70 square kilometers of mapping having been completed. The results were encouraging with relatively high-grade gold and silver on surface, ‘suggesting the potential to find high-grade mineralization at shallow to moderate depths’.
