Last month, Arras Minerals (ARK.V) disclosed it had identified a second northeast-southwest trending copper anomaly on the Elemes project in Kazakhstan. As a reminder, Elemes is nót included in the strategic exploration alliance between Arras Minerals and Teck Resources (TECK).

The anomaly was identified through a field mapping and sampling campaign (consisting of 31,000 samples covering an area of almost 330 square kilometers) which encountered altered rocks typical of a porphyry alteration system. The new target, called Aimandai, is parallel to the Berezski exploration target, which was announced by the company earlier this year. That previously announced target consists of an 8.8 kilometer long anomaly with historical drill holes running grades of 0.80% CuEq and 0.94% CuE over 132 meters and 108 meters respectively. The newly defined Aimandai target has never been drilled before.
